February 27, 2009 - Friday

Makati, Philippines -- IP e-Games Ventures Inc., a subsidiary of IPVG Corp. (PSE:IP) and publisher of popular free-to-play Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPGs), announces the grand launch party of its newest fantasy title, ZX Online: Journey to Immortality.

On March 8, the Midtown Atrium of Robinson`s Place will be the center of the celebration as ZX gamers will be treated to a day of fun, activities, contests and entertainment to mark the game`s passage from Open Beta to commercial stage. It will also serve as the first formal gathering for its growing community.

Based on the popular internet fantasy novel `Zhu Xian`, ZX Online: Journey to Immortality is e-Games` first Chinese award-winning MMORPG title. This fully 3D online features mystical Chinese landscapes and sceneries for game players to explore during their soul-searching journey and training.

It has unique game features such as the full 3D Pathing System, evolving pets, flying weapons, mounts and creatures reminiscent of Chinese folklore, Talisman crafting and cooperative quests and missions. As ZX Online shifts to its commercial phase, gamers can expect several changes to take in effect within the game. Among these include a possible increase in the current level cap, new maps and dungeons, new costumes and more in-game events.

Epic gathering of gamers

As one of the first big gatherings for its gamers, the ZX Online Commercial Launch promises a bevy of activities, from online to live events, performances from popular bands, and special appearances of celebrity guests.

e-Games is setting up an Old World China backdrop to let its player base, but also non-ZX Online gamers, experience the myriad thrills of exciting gameplay and close community bonding that the game offers . Ivee Feria, ZX Online`s Product Manager, remarks that the game`s unique features will one day change gamers` playing habits and preferences.

"We have high hopes for ZX Online to transform the Philippine gaming market to appreciate titles that are content-rich and content-driven. We expect to see more gamers appreciate questing versus grinding."

True to the spirit of Chinese lore and traditions, the launch event will feature several engaging attractions such as a lion dance and wushu exhibition. Among the highlights of the event include the announcement of the first grand raffle promo, in which gamers stand the chance to win a three days, two nights trip for three to Hong Kong complete with accommodations. The said promo will culminate at e-Games annual gaming event, Domination III, happening this April.

The event will also serve as the venue where ZX gamers, aptly called as ZX Immortals, can gather to meet fellow players. Exciting prizes and freebies will be given to early birds, guilds with the most number of members present in the event, and gamers who cosplay as any ZX Online character. As part of the activities to engage the community, there will also be a variety of individual and group activities such as game mentoring and level race, scavenger hunt and Clan recruitment efforts.

Five ZX gamers who have contributed to the game`s localization process will also be given recognition.

Dark and Light Campaign

e-Games has also recruited Philippine`s Cosplay Princesss and local pop culture sensation, Alodia Gosiengfiao, and her sister as endorsers for ZX Online: Journey to Immortality. The Gosiengfiao sisters have been tapped to portray ZX Online`s two major characters, Biyao and Lu XueQui and they will represent two factions-Dark and Light. The said concept was inspired by the novel Zhu Xian.

"In accordance with our mission to champion the community, we envision this program to encourage a greater degree of community participation. We see this campaign as a tool for groups to form greater bonds, where they can actually share the same values and goals on a bigger scale," says Feria.

By aligning themselves with either the Dark or Light faction, players who belong to guilds (or Clans, as they are called in ZX) will be able to enjoy a much more competitive game and will be pitted against each other in upcoming events. Feria adds that staging the commercial launch event is a way of thanking their loyal gamers for the support they have given since the game`s Closed Beta stage. "We want to let our gamers know that there will always be new game content every month and expect a more immersive and better gaming experience."
